Fabio Viviani is the type of chef and restaurateur who will walk you into his restaurant with anumbrella when it’s raining. He trains his staff to warmly welcome guests at the door and always say,“Thank you for coming,” on the way out. He once even gave a dog a bone—literally—wrapping up theleftovers from a perfectly cooked prime ribeye for a guest’s bulldog to chew on later.

The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 11, to celebrate the grand opening of Giostra by Fabio Viviani at The Arboretum of South Barrington.

Giostra by Fabio Viviani will begin welcoming guests to its location in The Arboretum on Oct. 14, promising an authentic Italian dining experience that blends the culinary traditions of Viviani’s childhood with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Fabio Viviani Hospitality announced in a press release today that Giostra by Fabio Viviani will officially open its doors in The Arboretum of South Barrington on Monday, October 14th.

The menu at Giostra will center around classic Italian dishes, lovingly crafted from recipes passed down through generations.
